Start of all activities is Hadibo, the main village (also called:capital) on Socotra. There are all hotels, restaurants and all necessary supplies can be purchased there.

Renting a car for all your stay is a must. Cars are usually Toyota Landcruiser and come always with a driver. Not every driver speaks English, however. The car takes 4 people, if you should go for a multiday tour incl-luggage, better calculate 3 people per car only.

There are basically two choices:

You take a hotel in Jadibo for all your stay and go for daily trips. On the new asphalt roads you can reach easily all sides of the island. This is defenitely the most comfortable way.

You may go for camping during your stay. In this case you need to take all necessary equipments with you. ECOSOCOTRA will prived for you. The campsites provide -not at all times- basic meals. This is in now way sufficient however, you need to take additional food items and water from Hadibo.

Hadibo hotels have at times the bad habit, to charge in season  the room for whole your stay, though you may not need it. You may consider to stay one or the other night out, but basically to return mostly to Hadibo.
